FLO - THE POWER TO EMPOWER
FLO (FICCI Ladies Organisation) is a not-for-profit pan-India business and professional women’s wing of FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry). Established in 1983, FLO represents 11,000+ women entrepreneurs and professionals across 19 Chapters in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities of the country. The Organisation has its headquarters at New Delhi.
FLO functions as a networking platform for women, fostering an environment conducive to professional and personal growth. Its mission ‘The Power to Empower’ extends beyond business, focusing on empowering women at the senior, middle and grassroots levels through skill development, education, and vocational training. The big picture is to leverage mutual strengths and skills through business and professional networking.
The Organisation regularly conducts workshops, seminars, and conferences, aiming to inspire women to achieve their highest potential. FLO often collaborates with governmental and non-governmental organizations, on matters of women’s welfare & safety, healthcare, economic opportunities and social issues. FLO plays a vital role in shaping policies related to women’s entrepreneurship, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the country.
FLO HYDERABAD
FLO Hyderabad took shape in year 2002, with 14 members. Since then, through the constant guidance and efforts of its Chairpersons and Working Committee, the Chapter has grown by leaps and bounds, and is today a buzzing beehive of close to 1200 members, one of the largest and most vibrant Chapters in the FLO firmament.
At FLO Hyderabad, we are tied up with knowledge institutions – T-Hub, WE Hub, IIT Hyderabad, IIIT Hyderabad, IKP Knowledge Park, Ministry of MSME – through which we facilitate technology transfer, incubation in a wide palette of industries for both start-ups and MSMEs, knowledge dissemination that enables professionals and entrepreneurs to upskill and stay relevant.
We also work with students and women at the grassroots levels – both in urban and rural settings – as part of our social outreach mandate, bringing to them the advantage of courses, trainings and workshops focused on livelihood generation. Through a cross-section of knowledge, motivational, learning and inspirational programs, impactful social outreach efforts and innovative practices, FLO Hyderabad has been able to lead the way relentlessly towards a truly inclusive economic growth trajectory for women at all levels.
